Ungraceful error when starting up without internet

Expected Behaviour

Aurora starts up, recognizes internally there's no internet, and either stays silent or presents a small simple message informing the user no autoupdate check was performed due to no internet connection

Actual Behaviour

Autoupdate attempts to run, doesn't gracefully recognize it has no connection and produces errors, and a large scary looking stacktrace is given to the user.

Reproduction steps

Turn on the computer with no internet

I believe every time autoupdate attempts its check without an active internet connection
