G Hub is not inititialising
Expected Behaviour
Aurora should inititialize in "Device Manager" the Logitech Software and say "connected"
Actual Behaviour
But it does not start and after clicking "start" it still does nothing.
Reproduction steps
I'm using the G910 and G502 with G Hub.
- Boot OS
- Start G Hub (auto)
- Start Aurora (auto, I cannot deactive autostart and cannot set delay)
- Looking after the "Connection" status - not inititialized
- enable "desktop" and it works, but I want my Bindings of G hub and the color settings which I set (color wave)
Frequency
Every time but if I disable in the desktop profile "enable Aurora to provide [...]" it starts
Aurora Version:
Beta v0.8.1
Previously an Issue?
Don't know
Logfile:
Same here. This is an issue since the (terrible) G-Hub software. With the previous Logitech G software this wasn't an issue. Sadly, new products force the G-Hub.
What happens: 2/5 times on start Aurora doesn't load and keyboard RGB stays off. Workaround: Close Aurora and restart it.
Weird thing that this is happening only 2 of 5 times. Sometimes it works. Seems it indeed has to be delayed to start after G-Hub, so it can overwrite it?
Might be related: does it work if Aurora starts already enabled? Like, enable Aurora, close completely in order to save its state. Run again. Try toggling.
Temp fix: delay aurora launch by 30 or 60 seconds. There is some weird stuff going on with GHub and their API

I can confirm this works.

also confirming this as a fix. GHUB takes too long to start up and it seems like Aurora gives up if it tries to initialize and GHUB isn't ready yet. I suspect that Aurora is trying to figure out if you have LGS or GHUB and when it can't initialize either, it just blocks the whole channel. Delaying Aurora in its settings by 30 seconds has fixed it (you might need longer delay depending on the speed of your PC)
