Optimized handling / interface suggestions

I was looking for something like that for AGES and always wondered why Obsidian had this not built in as core functionality.

THANK YOU!

Is it maybe possible to integrate the dropdown menu directly into the note? Navigating to a prior state would simply - temporarily - revert the note back to this edit. This would be so much more elegant.

I added a button to the editor menu but opening another note on top is cluttering the screen. Plus, I don't like the rendering of the prior edits. I will open another issue for that matter to keep things tidy.
