Epitope entries

• We need to provide iEDB references (implemented as links at the front-end) to iEDB
• We need to standardize the parent gene and species naming
• Perhaps we need to replace currently used "patch" files with something other, e.g. epitope <> gene+species table

There is a meta.epitope.id field: maybe we can update the instructions to let this field mean "iEDB reference to epitope" (so e.g. the number 230122 for the Nef epitope FLKEKGGL)? This field is a little unclear now. And what standard should the parent gene name follow? A list of acceptable names for genes and species in the instructions might help.

Thats exactly it. As for parent gene names - we can also fetch them from iEDB for consistency.. although I recall there were some naming deviations in iEDB itself. This requires careful discussion. Meanwhile @bvdmitri will implement the links in the upcoming VDJdb web interface update.
