[BUG] Upgrade to 1.0.35 wiped config files

• Claude CLI version: 1.0.35
• Operating System: Mac OS 14.4.1
• Terminal: Mac Terminal

Bug Description

Upgrade to 1.0.35 completely wiped ~/.claude.json

Steps to Reproduce

1. Update to 1.0.35
2. Run 'claude' in new terminal session
3. Lose config files!

Expected Behavior

Normal update

Actual Behavior

Destructive update

I was adding custom slash commands, editing the commands, relaunch claude, it resets all the config. Might be related here.
