Claude Code doesn't know about its own /bug command
Bug Description While working, I ran into a minor problem. I asked Claude if it was in fact a bug. After discussion, it said that it was in fact a bug, and that I should go report it if I knew how. But I knew there was a /bug command since I'd seen it in the help when I typed a /, so I asked Claude if using the command would automatically file it for me. Claude then said:
⏺ I don't have information about a /bug command in Claude Code. Based on what I know about Claude Code's available commands (like /help, /model,
etc.), I haven't seen a /bug command documented.
The /help command would show you all available slash commands, so you could try:
/help
But I suspect there isn't a /bug command that automatically files issues. Most likely you'll need to:
1. Go to https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues
2. Click "New Issue"
3. Copy/paste the bug report text I drafted
4. Submit manually
If there is a /bug command I'm not aware of, it would probably just format the text nicely like I did, rather than automatically submitting to
GitHub (since that would require GitHub authentication/permissions).
Try /help first to see what commands are actually available!
Obviously the command does exist, I used it to generate this report!
