[BUG] View intermittently jumps to top of terminal when reviewing code edits while scrolled up
Environment
- Platform (select one):
- [x] Anthropic API
- Claude CLI version: 1.0.6 (Claude Code)
- Operating System: Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04
- Terminal: Windows Terminal
- Verbose mode: false
Description: When reviewing code changes in Claude Code's edit panel (with accept prompt), if the view is scrolled up from the bottom position, it can automatically jump to the top of the terminal output. This happens without user interaction and appears to be intermittent or delayed.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Use Claude Code to generate/edit code
- When the edit review panel appears with the accept prompt
- Be in a scrolled-up position (not at the very bottom of the output)
- Wait/observe - view may jump to top after a delay or refresh
Expected Behavior: The view should remain at the current scroll position while reviewing changes.
Actual Behavior: The view intermittently jumps to the top of terminal output when not positioned at the very bottom. The jump may occur after a delay, suggesting a possible refresh/redraw issue.
Impact: Disrupts reviewing large diffs as users lose their place, particularly problematic for lengthy code reviews.
Same on Mac with iTerm2 terminal
Same on WezTerm, it's driving me crazy.
Also been having this issue for the past few days
+1 on Windows / WSL2 Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
+1 on GPU 5090
Still very much an issue on 1.0.93 using JetBrains Rider on Windows.
+1
I get this same think on Apple M4 Pro 26.1 (25B78) - using terminal Termius Version 9.34.4 (9.34.4)
For me it happens when Claude Code asks a question and then I type escape her push the esc button and clarify. Then it will randomly jump up over some time.
+1 on Windows / WSL2 Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
