[Feature Request] Restore quick-access thinking mode toggle and visual indicator
Bug Description
Seemingly disabling the "Tab" to cycle thinking mode on and off, removing the blue border indication, and moving the setting to /config panel, very far out of the way and inconvenient/slow to access, is frankly egregious, offensive, shocking, repulsive, and disgusting greed. I hope this is a bug of some kind and not intentional, but I fear it may signal intent to increase accidental limit moments in the name of more plan upgrades. I noticed when the mobile app also made thinking a default silently recently (which may have been reverted), but this trend is shaking my trust in Anthropic.

Thank you for the mention, very helpful! That one coincidentally wasn't automatically exposed to me by the similar issue workflow.
@leuquim (not sure if that mention is actually working), feel free not to elaborate, but I'm curious about why you chose to "👎" my post. Was I just too harsh? Do you disagree about something more nuanced? I'd love more opinions to be shared, I don't feel strongly confident that I've "exposed the truth" or anything so heroic, but I think more people need to think about these things more deeply than they have been. You seem to have something to say and I'd be gracious if you would be willing to share publicly.
You can also message/email me if you are (or anyone else reading this is) interested to discuss further but perhaps less willing to slap their GitHub profile on a public post of Anthropic like this; I'm always happy to talk, whether you agree or disagree with me.
Going to also drop a mention to my reply on @ipeterov 's eloquent comment here, correlated with but distinct from my primary issue of principle corruption.
