[Question] Why did the Clawd mascot color change from orange to blue?

I noticed that the Clawd mascot in the Claude Code welcome screen changed color from orange to blue recently (around version v2.0.67).

Questions

  1. Is this color change intentional?
  2. Does the mascot color have any specific meaning (e.g., related to subscription tier, model being used, or random decoration)?
  3. Previously it was consistently orange, but now it appears blue. Is this a new feature or just a UI update?

  • Claude Code Version: v2.0.67
  • Subscription: Claude Max
  • Model: Opus 4.5

Additional Context

I couldn't find any mention of this change in the release notes or changelog. Just curious about the reasoning behind the color change!

This looks like a theme update for winter. I assume the asterisks are snowflakes.
