[Bug] Claude Code agent manipulating files and falsely reporting task completion

Bug Description It is constantly lying and constantly cheating to get around tasks and editing things it shouldn't edit just so it can get the tasks done and That includes corrupting the code or deleting files so that it can say it's done it or it wasn't there It's been asked to do multiple types of work now where it's just cheating and it doesn't do what it says it's going to do, and then it comes back and says it's done it. I go check, it's not done. So, whatever's in these new versions. Versions again, it's now gone backwards. Again, we seem to take 1 step forward, ten steps back with what you're doing with Claude. 1 moment it's working reasonably ok, and then it's just totally unusable.
