Make sure you've got tx and rx the correct way round. Baud is usually 115200 3.3v isn't usually needed, just rx, tx, gnd.
I would suspect it is hardwired to be on constant with the power rather than be controlled. Does it ever flash in anyway when booting? That would be a good...
I think the best advice would be to try it - probably try v0.2 so it isn't persistent
So far I don't think a way has been found.
I suppose the idea with these cameras is you shouldn't be exposing them to the internet because of the cloud app - which I realise we've disabled.
Unfortunately this is currently tied to the p2pcam program, so you need to setup first that way and then install the hack.
Have you got any pointers for patching p2pcam? I'd like to look in to increasing the bitrate of the RTSP stream.
