Ability to Add Custom Validation for Survey Answers

SUMMARY
Per an user's request, they would like to be able to specify their own conditions on acceptable survey answers (i.e. regular expressions).
In the user's environment, they would like to validate an IP address in the survey answer. This could also extend out to other use cases (e.g. If an user has a naming convention for assets, systems, etc., the user can populate information in order to verify the provided answer is considered acceptable.)
Would absolutely love this. Sometimes survey choices contradict each other, & it would be great to point that out to the user prior to the job failing.
I came across a need for this today, would be great to have 'regex' field for text type questions. In the same wheelhouse I had to use the older awx-cli tool to modify a job_template survey_spec, in a script where i was otherwise using 'awx' command. I had a heck of a time setting up a survey, do people just use REST calls directly?
