As described in EPIC #1659, we need an immediate fix to be able to run the pipeline with ansible-core 2.17 and certify v1.12.0 on it, the following is an extract from #1659 , that explains briefly the issue and proposes a solution.

Long term: Proper environment var support for ansible-core adhoc cli and then have pytest-ansible adopt it.

First part of this task is to engage with the ansible community and propose enviroment var support from the cli, at this point we need to gather evidence on why that is useful for use cases similar to ours, where we are testing using a pytest suite.
