CI coverage - investigate "invalid coverage paths"

SUMMARY

Generating coverage reports sometimes shows messages like this:

WARNING: Ignored 92694 characters from 208 invalid coverage path(s).

I'm not sure what it means. Will need to run with -vvvv (or maybe more than 4) to see if we can get better output from that and see what's happening.
