Our vendor setup our VxBlock and used fcalias on the switches. It would be great to not have to change the configuration because that might affect our support.

@slemont68 Just clarify, are asking for a) fc-alias creation/deletion/renaming b) adding/deleting fc-alias as a member of zone? c) both (a) and (b)

Got confirmation that @slemont68 need both fc-alias creation/deletion/renaming as well as adding/deleting fc-alias as a member of zone Need to see the feasibility of implementation of the same. This will take some time though.

Hi everyone,

We use FC Aliases a lot in our SAN zoning setups. For us, they allow a better organization of our objects. I also find out that the cisco.nxos.storage.nxos_zone_zoneset module does not take into account FC Aliases based SAN zoning. FC Aliases cannot be manipulated via existing cisco ansible modules.

I agree with @slemont68: it would be great to manipulate these objects via a module and integrate them into the cisco.nxos.storage.nxos_zone_zoneset module.
