Using mtls with selfhosted addy and extension

Hi, I am a lite customer and a self-hosted user, who is using mtls with the self-hosted instance.

On chrome on Linux the extension picks up the need for a mtls cert and requests for one and then continues to work fine.

On Firefox/Librewolf the extension never asked for a cert, so doesn't connect to the instance.

Is there a reason why the extension would not be able to use the mtls cert available in the firefox browser?
