This feature has had similar requests before, but has usually been larger in scope.

Commit 2bb299d7413f774fc67a185ed2074112c9e74300 added auto-hiding of the header. But having it always hidden is very valuable on smaller terminals, or even larger ones, for those who value vertical space.
