No system keyboard when focusing on <input> text box in card view

What are the steps to reproduce this bug?
Add <input type="text" /> to a card.
Review a card and focus the input box. Try to type something. Note: when previewing the template it works as expected, only when reviewing a card does the keyboard not show up.

I should be able to type input into the input box in the card.

Copied from #14546. The merged fix seems to be reverted, I don't know if there's a reason for it.

There is a workaround by enabling "Type answer into the card" in the settings. However, I don't think the current behaviour with default settings is expected, so I think the issue should stay open

- Settings - About AnkiDroid - Tap the AnkiDroid logo 7 times
- Developer options - enable "new reviewer"
- Is this still a problem?
You may uninstall this parallel app after you're done testing, 2.21 will be released soon
With the new reviewer this issue does not occur. There are some other weird issues but I guess I'll wait until the new reviewer is released. Thanks for your reply!
