reset progress -> WILL NOT reset card order
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Hi ! I always get frustrated when I use cards in random display mode, I choose to 'forget the cards (windows), reset progress (android)', time is reset, BUT its display mode is also reset, from 'random', to 'in order of addition'. If you go into deck settings - new cards - under 'order' is specified as 'random', but the cards are displayed 'in order of addition'.
Describe the solution you'd like I want the 'forget-reset progress' button The time of its subsequent display was reset, but its display mode was not.
Describe alternatives you've considered I wrote on the android and computer forum about the situation (as there were problems there and there). Abdo from computer version replied to me that there are flags in the new PC version 'Restore original position where possible', 'Reset repetition and lapse counts' checkboxes that allow to keep previous card display mode after reset (it is so I checked). Please add this feature also in android version.

I'm still waiting... AnkiDroid-2.16alpha84-arm64-v8a.apk has the same situation: The deck is set to random, but after resetting the cards (time), the deck is also reset to display in order, not in random, as I originally set it to do.
For what it's worth we're on 2.16alpha90 now with maybe 100 PRs merged since 84... https://github.com/ankidroid/Anki-Android/releases
@mikehardy thank you for correcting me ! (don't know why I didn't find the latest version, I'll be more careful) I uninstalled the app from my phone, installed the latest version, chose a different folder for the database. I checked, it's the same situation.

It would be cool if a much respected developer who took on this problem would commit here. Thank you for your attention.

Hi, I don't know why no one pays any attention to this bug. It's important to me, because when I'm learning English words, I create decks and portion them out to high potential, and then merge those decks afterwards. I have to do unnecessary things while I don't have this feature.
@david-allison, hello ! After a quick message on discord (old problem remained in v3), I reconsidered my problem and realized that I could have used another working option below I have attached a picture explaining what I want :

For 1-st 7 days, it's important for me to keep the potential of the cards high so that I can repeat them faster afterwards. On day 1 alone, I teach them until they are instantly repeatable🔥 by typing in small groups, combining them. On day 2-7, I just repeat them and then leave the work to the anki algorithms. That's why it's important for me to have them in random order the first day as many times as I need them. The old "reset progress" option didn't work, so I tried a new one - an custom study (random). WORKS. There was 1 problem left:
- [ ] How do I display the original cards and neighboring cards ("optional reversed") in the whole stack one at a time (QQQQQAAAAAQQQQQAAAAA), not mixed up (QAQAQAQQQAAQQAQ)? Should I create a query for this function or am I missing some function in v3?
p.s. If the "first variation in random display mode is always the same" problem was only me - you can close the problem.
🗺️🗺️I will open this topic when I study foreign words again and encounter this problem.🗺️🗺️

I'm going to assume this has been addressed - if you can still reproduce your problems when a 2.17 (alpha) release comes out, please let us know.
