I think he meant select2 4.0.0 css styling, they changed the way it looks if you're going to use the styling. In my case, Without ui-select, and just using the select2 plugin, the styling that comes with it is the select2 bootstrap styling, and it looks pretty good. The demo on your page is either standard styling using version 3.4.5, or pure bootstrap.. but not the mix of the two.
