Thanks for the contribution! I have merged two of the fixes, but not sure about Leaflet. Why do you prefer it to Google Maps? And, displaying of individual photo locations is a cool feature, but it currently looks and behaves weird, at least in Chrome (controls and copyright get in front of the photo, while map tiles are behind)

Because with LeafLet you can use any map provider. And OpenStreetMap (which I put there) is already great in many places of the world, and it's free (unlike Google Maps).

What is the benefit of using XFBML over iframe? So far, it seems to make many more http requests as well as it doesn't show the button anymore after merging this branch :-)

It used to work; it seems like FB has broken something recently, don't know what exactly. The benefit was an ability to add a comment (a pop-up form appears after “liking”).
