Up for adoption

Please respond if you would like to adopt this repository. I would transfer to you and help facilitate the handoff of the Docker Hub account. Would prefer if you have prior Docker and Docker image management experience.

Hi Andy, This is a small enough project for me to consider taking on as maintainer. A relative newbie to docker, i have built several solutions for my-self and now a dev stack for use by my development team. Today, after some considerable fiddling and even more learning I am using this most excellent resource to build mongodb 4.4.6 for Alpine because despite their licencing model I don't believe it was right or productive for RedHat, Ubuntu, Alpine and others to climb on their collective high horses and drop a great DB solution through a fit of pique regardless of their opinionated validity. It is up to the users of an OS to decide what they want to run on it no the "suits". If I already have github and docker hub accounts and it may be a relatively simple matter to transfer this project across to me if you are willing. Either way, let me thank you for creating this truly helpful image, it has saved me a lot of stress today. Regards, Fin

👋 Hey Andy. I'm still maintaining my own fork of this repository but would be happy to take over the source for you.

👋 Hey Andy. I'm still maintaining my own fork of this repository but would be happy to take over the source for you.

You'll need to remove sgerrand/docker-alpine-abuild or rename before I can transfer.

andyshinn avatar Sep 13 '22 17:09 andyshinn

I'm happy to do so, but are you up for it?

sgerrand avatar Sep 13 '22 18:09 sgerrand

Sure.

That's great news. I've renamed my existing fork so feel free to transfer this repository over when you can.

sgerrand already has a repository in the andyshinn/docker-alpine-abuild network

🤷

Sorry for the super late reply. How weird. Ping me when you have time and I can remove my forked repository.
