This patch still seems unresolved.

This patch is however not working on the latest Hadoop version. It worked correctly on the Hadoop 2.6.5

The likely issue, I think (from reading the net), is that the JAVA_JVM_LIBRARY locations are changed in the later versions, and hence patch is not working.

Could you give some more detail about the errors you see (console output, logs etc)

I'd expect the patch never to be merged into the main hadoop as it only affects a tiny portion of the user base running on arm.

If you continue to have problems you could skip the building of the binary and just live with the performance hit of not having some optimisations for arm ?
