Is it possible to make this Thunderbird compatible?

Hello,

i miss this Addon in the newest Thunderbird Quantum. It will be great if you can inspect if this AddOn can used in Thunderbird and the native client with the same nodejs installation in one installating (for both firefox and thunderbird uses the same native client.).

It gives not other AddOns that make this simple call an external apps in thunderbird.
