Firefox rendering xml as html

Open TalkingFox opened this issue 9 years ago • 5 comments

Installing the add-on causes firefox to render pages of xml as html, hiding the tags as elements and displaying values as text. Without the add-on, pages of xml are displayed as raw text.

I added a new option to exclude bubble injection in the provided list. XML is now added by default. You can try the latest dev here, https://github.com/andy-portmen/Simple-Translate/blob/master/src/igtranslator.xpi?raw=true

download the XPI and drop it into your Firefox

I'll reiterate, great add-on, but it's an unfortunate side-effect that xml files are not rendered as we're used to. It's been an issue for almost a year now... a fix has been in the works for almost that long, too. Looks like I'll have to find a different add-on to translate the occasion page; I used xml a lot more than I need to translate.
