Option to synchronise timeline positions across multiple devices

So I use AndStatus across two devices, my phone and my tablet. I'd like to have the option available so that my tablet client is informed of the timeline position on my phone, on the assumption that my timeline position was changed on my phone most recently.

The purpose for this is so that I don't have to scroll through the same posts twice when - for example - I've been keeping up to date on my phone for most of the day, but then when I use my tablet in the evening, it's still at the position it was at the last time I used my tablet.

I'm guessing something like this would require a plugin on my instance or a central "AndStatus account" in order to store the various timeline positions.

As I see how e.g. GMail or Telegram synchronize information about unread messages, they not always can do even this correctly. Synchronization of timeline positions may be simplified to synchronization of the latest notes read at each timeline. The hardest part is to devise proper protocol of such sync between devices... I don't think that any special server support is needed: we could send special private messages to ourselves (e.g. from one our account to another) and thus broadcast them to all our devices, where these two accounts are registered...
