Is this plugin is still active in 2022?

I can't use AA with gradle 7.2.0. Is this active?

Unfortunately this project is kinda dead. I have not done any mobile dev in years, stopped even before my last contributions to AA.

Also as far as I can tell with kotlin and all the new features to google provided libraries for android dev, most of what AA does should be more or less supported without AA.

@dodgex can you please update the project homepage readme / wiki and website to mark this project as dead / discontinued?

I just merged PR https://github.com/androidannotations/androidannotations/pull/2308 which adds a deprecation notice. The deprecation note has also been posted on twitter: https://twitter.com/AndAnnotations/status/1531609964992667652

I'll keep this issue open for additional visibility.
