App not updated with new Media3 libraries

• The media3 libraries are supposed to handle the service and activities without using any connection classes, but the app still uses it even in the media3 branch. How do we implement this use case?
• In the new media3 libraries, we have services extended to MediaLibraryService instead of MediaBrowserService . It's also not updated in the app yet. Again, how do we implement this use case?
• Do we require a browser tree or any MediaSource class if we have Media3 MediaItem API?

Please do correct me if I am wrong in any way or if I am not clear. Thanks!
