"makeStatusNotification"s are not working (no alerts are appearing on screen AT ALL) !!!!

Hi All, can anyone help with this problem. I finally downloaded and ran the solution code ... and the 'notification's DON'T work in that app version either !!!! ... is a great shame : for a mostly BRILLIANT android-kotlin course : it kind of makes the course end on a bummer !!!! ... I suppose that's just another thing from the course to add to my "list of things to sort in future" list. SHAME :-(

@vinz2112 Check if notification are enabled on your emulator/device.
