8.1-r2 doesn't offer to connect to a regular network, and therefore isn't able to connect to network in the VirtualBox

Image downloaded from https://www.fosshub.com/Android-x86.html only offers to connect to WiFi networks which is impossible in VirtualBox.

theres no dhcp for lan device after manual ip settings, connections to IP addresses works but theres no dns so no working networking in 8.1-r2

there was a time, long long ago, where software was tested before release...

Networks works in VirtualBox. Just enable ETHERNET interface and in Android_x86 use a WIFI name: VirtWifi who assign you to your selected VBNet interface. Just connect to this virtual wifi and all. Internet works.
