NeuralPlay 'Bridge' Opens and promptly closes

Running android-x86-9.0-r2.iso Live--No Install on wife's Hp Stream Laptop, model: 11-ak0035nr. Had momentary quirk: boot process would not recognize native WiFi hardware. Overcame this with a legacy USB2-WiFi dongle.

Problem: As mentioned in the title, NeuralPlay's Bridge v6.10 opens and promptly closes. Not interested in graphics-intensive gaming apps. Will drill down and experiment with prior releases of Android-x86. I currently run Bridge 6.10 on my LG Android 8.1 phone.

UPDATE: Got cm14.1, LineageOS, operating on Compaq Presario and ASUS Q200E; not without difficulties. When launching an app the wallpaper or background goes entirely black. Can then only run app in reduced window, attempts to run in full window mode were blackened out. The area around the mouse's arrow is darkened much like a shadow. The menu to list apps, next to the 'Insert Widget' option, remains linear, have yet to determine how to tile the apps' icons in an X-by-X configuration. Will include pics when I learn how Android-x86 allows for screenshots.
