The hook is spoiling partial commits (git add -i)

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for the nice hook, I have been using it a lot.

I have recently noticed that whenever I try to do a partial commit of a file, the file gets entirely committed.

Do you think that there is a way to solve this issue?
