TEX > PDF sync takes to much time now

I use pdf-view package to render the PDF. The thing is that when syncing from TEX to PDF to see where I am, now takes ages compared with before.

This started happening after updating Atom from 1.12 > 1.13.

The fast sync was one of the reasons I switched to writing tex in atom. But now it has become very slow. Hopefully this can be fixed.
