Would this not be solved by a very simple export of `AnyFlags` type? Type errors would be show at the same location as the flags definition, rather then where they...

yep encountered this behaviour after many hours ended up here.

Split packages

I believe splitting packages is pretty standard practice. e.g. we only use `useLocalStorage` and have to import the whole library... Not great. See Material UI and how they split it...
