can you recommend a strong mixer?

Three that definitely work are the Bosch belt drive ones, kitchen aid mixers, and ankarsrum

I will say that if you have a mixer with a smaller bowl (I used a 4.5 qt Kitchen Aid Classic), halving the recipe can help! It was plenty good for the half recipe, but I'm not so confident it would have fared well with the the full one.
