Bluetooth / WiFi adapter

I have a raspi 2 B version 1.1 that I would like to purchase a Bluetooth WiFi dongle for to use with monitor. Do you have any suggestions. I have heard bad things about bluez. If the dongle needs the bluez stack installed, will it still work with monitor? Thank you for your time.

Pretty much any of them will work but some require you to find/download/install specific firmware for them if it isn't there by default. You'll see an error like

Bluetooth: hci0 failed to open Intel firmware file: intel/ibt-hw-37.8.10-fw-1.10.1.14.d.bseq(-2)

and you'll need to do some Googling to find it. In this case, it would go in /lib/firmware/intel/ibt-hw-37.8.10-fw-1.10.1.14.d.xxx
