Firstly i'd like to say great guide! I have finally managed to get this working.

The issue that i am faced with is the reaction time of a device leaving and entering is sometimes quite slow. I have checked the logs and am getting the below error.

Apr 29 19:11:58 BLE bash[24884]: [+] 0.2.200 29-04-2020 07:11:58 pm [CMD-NAME] D8:68:C3:XX:XX:XX Work-Phone Samsung Electronics CoLtd Apr 29 19:12:14 BLE bash[24884]: Can't create connection: Input/output error Apr 29 19:14:26 BLE bash[24884]: Can't create connection: Input/output error

Is this error normal?

Could this be the bluetooth driver crashing? I am running it on a RPI 4

Please can you help what does this error mean?

Similar issue here - I can get monitor.sh to run, a first MQTT message is correctly produced as expected, but when I disconnect the tracked device (my smartphone) I get a "Can't create connection: Input/output error" error and no MQTT message is produced
