Example processing sensor input data at home

Running on a raspberry pi that processes data from some input sensor or camera and produces an output (email, message, etc)?

Sensor could be my temp/humidity wifi sensor, or the other small ones I have.

Or sensor sends MQTT message to a flow running on Pi or Laptop or cloud.
