Support for Freemium

Open mattkantor opened this issue 9 years ago • 12 comments

Was wondering if you supported freemium - obviously with the idea that you don't need a CC number while on this plan but you would need one later. Would this just be not having a subscription association?

I'm interested in this to! Any plans to implement? I could also be interested in sponsoring at least parts of this if need be.

Anybody who has the time and knowledge to make this happen? Again - I would be interested in paying real money to make it happen.

@alydersen Send me an email (christoph@[$DOMAIN_I_OWN]) and we can look this through

Thanks Christoph! I've sent you an email yesterday, but not 100% percent sure I have the right address. Let me know if you have not received it.

@alydersen did you make any headway with @yas4891? I'm also interested in a no credit-card-freemium flow

Me too, anything new here?

We ended up branching out and doing this ourselves.

alydersen avatar Mar 09 '16 10:03 alydersen

@alydersen anything you can share?

emilkarl avatar Mar 09 '16 10:03 emilkarl

Sure,

You should be able to see the last commits done by Joseph for us here in our fork: https://github.com/elmatica/koudoku/commits/master

Thanks, looks easy.Is it also updated for latest Stripe API version?

Can't decide if I should write my own or use Koudoku. :/

emilkarl avatar Mar 09 '16 10:03 emilkarl

Should be for the last API. We use Koudoku, but will stop doing that at some point later on in the development when we have more time to spend on it. Good luck!

@alydersen thanks for sharing that. I added some small improvements as comments in Joseph's work. Would be great if he could clean it up and submit a PR into Koudoku.
