Find An Alternative to Writerside for Documentation?

JetBrains has decided to sunset writerside https://blog.jetbrains.com/writerside/2025/03/sunsetting-writerside-ide/

Modern Docking uses the IntelliJ plugin, which, according to this article, will still be usable, but I think an alternative long term will be needed. A standalone GitBook might be the option.

Yeah, I'm upset over them sunsetting it. They assured us that it would be a long term solution. It did not even last two years. I have a mountian of documentation I need to comvert to something else now.

Experiment with https://about.readthedocs.com/ as the alternative. Looks to be a good choice and the documentation can be hosted on their site and integrated with GitHub actions.

The switch to readthedocs is complete. More improvements will be made as well.
