I'd like to have an easy way of inserting references. I currently use footnotes1 but I'd like to have it in the other usual way with square brackets [2].

1: For example here we use it a lot. 2: This is a another usual format.

Ideally I'd like a javascript+Bibtex solution but maybe I can cook up somehting using a Pyhton parser... Just ideas
