All commands make the Spotify app come into focus

Since about a month ago, whenever one of the methods from this library, such as playTrackInContext, is used to play a track in Spotify, the Spotify app on Mac becomes the focused app.

I usually hide the Spotify app, so it's annoying to need to hit "Hide" on the Spotify app, whenever I play a track using this library.

Is there a way to get the old functionality back, where the Spotify app is not brought into the foreground when a play method is executed?
