chgrp: changing group of '...': Input/output error

Followed the directions for installation on Mac, with NFS

it appears to be working, I can hit the URL and the frontend will load, but I am seeing this in the terminal for lots of directories.. any ideas what it could be?

I got the same error, but with different file | chgrp: changing group of '/var/www/html/vendor/theseer/directoryscanner/tests/_data/nested/empty': Too many levels of symbolic links
