Use Surface Dial with Mac

You can use Surface Dial (from Microsoft) to answer and end calls, control audio and video playback, and use Siri on Mac. Surface Dial features an wheel, a tactile actuator, and the knob button.

Control audio with your Surface Dial

• Volume Up: Rotate the knob clockwise.
• Volume Down: Rotate the knob counterclockwise.
• Pause: Press the knob button. Press again to resume playback.
• Skip forward: Press the knob button twice quickly.
• Skip backward: Press the knob button three times quickly.
• Fast-forward: Press the knob button twice quickly and hold.

Manage calls using your Surface Dial

• Answer an incoming FaceTime call: Press the knob button.
• End the current call: Press the knob button.

Ask Siri with your Surface Dial

Press and hold the knob button until you hear a beep. Let go, then ask Siri to perform a task or answer your question.
