Feature to ignore certificate issues

It'd be great if there were an option that would ignore various SSL/TLS certificate issues. (Cannot use the software with company's LDAP server as it uses a self-signed certificate.) This could include self-signed certificates, expired certificates, certificates that don't match the hostname, etc. It could display a warning for such uses but otherwise would be really handy for smaller organizations that can't invest in certificates.

Hm, I have no problem contacting LDAP servers with self-signed certs (using TLS).
