Ubuntu package stays old in the next LTS

Open windware-ono opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

I was wondering why the package for Ubuntu didn't have trash-restore but it was at version 0.12.9.14 for 16.04, which is understandable but even for 18.04, it stays with that version.

Can we try to push for a higher version in the repository?

(Edit : I've found out that the command name is 'restore-trash' instead on older versions.)

Submited a bug about this. It doesn't look like the ubuntu package is actively maintained at all. Any ideas how to take it over? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/trash-cli/+bug/1792828

It's already on Debian Buster and on Ubuntu Disco.

Andrea, the situation changed lately: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/trash-cli/+bug/2011289 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=988597

This bug report shouldn't be in the "list of things to do". In this case, you can not do anything more but congratulating yourself (and accepting our congratulations) :-) .
