Bibisco Online for collaborative writing

Open arigbs opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

Bibisco has the potential to work very well for collaborative writing if deployed as an online solution. This also presents the potential for Bibisco to be used for collaborative world building, much like World Anvil, (and goodness knows what else), given that a lot of the basic architecture required for world building is already present in Bibisco. Having a cloud based solution provides an extra revenue channel (albeit with more responsibilities). Just random thoughts / idea / suggestion from a user.

I think working in a cloud-based solution would be a waste of the already limited resources of this project. Andrea has his hands full and has done a great job so far. Working on a cloud version would involve too much work. I like the idea of collaborative work in the sense of distributing your work in read-only form to an editor which could load your project but be unable to copy or modify it, but instead be only able to make annotations that the author can then examine one by one.

Instead, if such a collaborative functionality is sought, I would rather have something like what I explained above. I have seen that implemented as the Editor Feature in [Quoll Writer](url https://quollwriter.com/).
