[documentation request] steps before running reallymine

Hi,

I think my question is obvious, but what are the steps to be taken before running reallymine on a MyBook HDD? i.e. given that most people probably come here after the controller failed, it would be very helpful to list up the steps required.

to be more precise:

1. open MyBook case
2. unplug HDD from controller board
3. plug HDD to PC/Mac through regular HDD connector //<-- assumption
4. etc...

At least, that's how I presume I should proceed. Also, if those steps I listed as example are wrong, please provide the correct procedure.
