Failed to get rprocfd

Systemd failed to start rmtfs.service, so I executed /usr/bin/rmtfs -r -P -s and got Failed to get rprocfd. This was ran on kernel linaro release/qcomlt-4.14. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the remoteproc modules didn't load
