Laptop trackpad not working

I am running archlinux on a framework 16 and when I boot using the initramfs from booster my trackpad fails to work at all. However my external USB mouse works just fine 😕.

I thought this might be similar to https://github.com/anatol/booster/issues/206 but after comparing loaded modules between mkinitcpio and booster in userspace I couldn't really find a difference. The usbhid module mentioned in that issue was already loaded by booster for me but even adding it specifically to my config didn't do anything either.
